Should we care about the male loneliness epidemic?

The male loneliness epidemic has gotten a considerable amount of coverage over the past couple of years, but the question still remains: what are we supposed to do about it, and who specifically is supposed to take action here? 

For many women, there is an underlying accusation in these headlines that women have caused the problem and therefore need to help solve it. But in response, a growing number of women are pushing back, claiming that men have brought this situation on themselves — and if they’re such great big and strong leaders then, well, shouldn’t they be able to solve this epidemic on their own?
