Is Polyamory a fad or a fundamental shift?

Polyamory is apparently growing in popularity. That’s right. Despite the fact that men and women increasingly complain about being unable to find ONE suitable partner, the number of adults under 30 who think open marriages are a good idea has crossed the 50% threshold.

What does this push to further breakdown monogamous marriage and nuclear families mean for dating, society, and our political system? And do these arrangements truly serve those who are opting into them?
