Subscribers Sneak Peak...

You hear it first!

Umm. Guys. I interviewed Rand Paul yesterday.

I still have trouble wrapping my head around the fact that he even knows my name.

Best of all, I interviewed him on privacy. For those who don’t know, I am a privacy fanatic. It’s one of my top issues. And I have been #StandingwithRand on this subject for nearly a decade.

Here I am in an ugly dress meeting Rand for the first time. This was in 2014 at a fundraiser in a barn in Kentucky. I was still in music, and I was so starstruck my boyfriend had to approach him for me and ask for a photo. I am a loser. You don’t have to tell me.

Here I am with my Stand with Rand cup in 2015, eagerly awaiting a filibuster.

And here is my dog (RIP, Totes) Standing with Rand as we stayed up all night for a filibuster on privacy.

So to say this interview was a full circle moment is an understatement. And, I managed to keep it professional and only fan-girled….or RAND-girled…a little bit.

The interview will be out tomorrow! We’re making this episode of BASED a double feature. The July portion will feature the interview (because who is more based on privacy than Rand Paul?) and the follow-up in August will entail my normal deep dive on the subject.
