REPORT: Fauci personally funded and edited EcoHealth study on bat viruses
Watch politics long enough and, like me, you’ll likely begin to find that the villains in Hollywood pale in comparison to the ones you can pinpoint in Washington DC.
Case in point: Dr. Anthony Fauci. His story arch over the past two years is already impressively awful - from shutting down schools, to lying about our research practices, to torturing beagles - but the stories on his nefarious activities just keep dropping and the latest leak is a doozy.
According to animal-welfare and taxpayer watchdog group, The White Coat Waste Project (where I am a Fellow), Fauci actually personally funded and edited a study on bats carried out by EcoHealth Alliance after the pandemic was already underway.
EcoHealth Alliance is the nonprofit Fauci’s NIH used as a pass through organization. It’s run by questionable scientist Peter Daszak and they’ve received millions of taxpayer dollars that they’ve used to carry out risky gain-of-function research on animals, including in the Wuhan Lab of Virology. Fauci’s association with the organization has increasingly come under scrutiny as more and more evidence shows a very cozy relationship between the two - this being the latest in the saga.

According to reporting by the WCW, “According to a paper published in late 2020—well after the pandemic began and EHA was under the microscope for its role in funding risky animal experiments at the Wuhan Animal Lab—Fauci himself edited and approved a study co-authored by Daszak that described how EHA traveled to Bangladesh to collect the highly-deadly Nipah virus from wild bats. Not only did Fauci review, edit and approve Daszak’s paper for the journal, he funded the study as well.”
This is really quite the scandal. Fauci essentially passed funding through this organization, which allowed him to carry out dangerous research that the US government had banned. Then he and his colleagues actually edited and approved the studies they funded for publication in scientific journals and then used that very publication to claim success for their investments. Quite the circle jerk.
All of this is just inexcusable. Every single member of Congress should be demanding investigations into these practices and accountability for those who broke the law with our tax dollars. For his part, Peter Daszak is still refusing to cooperate with investigations into the origins of COVID-19 and the role his organization may have played in them, while Fauci has lied before Congress.
For some unknown reason, the majority of our politicians continue to turn a blind eye to this reckless and wasteful behavior by unelected bureaucrats and their special interest pets in our midst.

This isn’t science. It’s corruption. And it’s time we put an end to it.
