Cori Bush just said something really racist
The Left spends a significant amount of time talking about racism, and very little time criticizing it when it rears its ugly head among their team members.
Such was the case this week when Democratic Congresswoman Cori Bush made an explicitly racist statement on Twitter.

Bush was weighing in on another Congress member, Byron Donalds, a Trump ally and Republican representative from Florida who is also a black man. As the House has struggled to coalesce around a new speaker, Donalds seemed to throw his hat in the ring.

If he were to win the race, Donalds would be the first black Speaker of the House, prompting some to call him a “historic” candidate. Bush’s reaction on Twitter was in response to that media buzz and reveals a really sinister mentality held by many on the Left.
Democrats love to celebrate the number of women and minorities that they elect to represent them, often making a lot of commotion when a woman or a person of color is the first to reach some position of power. But you’ll almost never find any similar commemorations when someone from this same demographic reaches such a milestone without a ‘D’ next to their name.
Instead, they are often met with this kind of derision and diminishment. Bush calling Donalds a “prop” is just yet another way of calling a black man a token or an Uncle Tom. The message is loud and clear, unless you think how we tell you to, you aren’t one of us.
In clarifying her remarks, Bush only dug deeper into the racist mentality behind her statement.

According to Bush, no one could possibly value Rep. Donalds as an individual, respect his leadership skills, or agree with his policies. No, he is simply only of value to people on the Right because of his skin color, in her mind, which perhaps reveals something about how the Left actually views the people of color they promote into leadership positions.
Bush says the spotlight on Donalds is “not progress—it’s pathetic.”
What’s really pathetic is Bush’s regressive, racist attitude.
