Journalist and commentator Brad Polumbo has urged political leaders of both the US major parties to “step up and model civility”.

“And take the temperature down in American political discourse,” he told Sky News Australia on Sunday night.

“Because our culture war and our political conflict is just raging ever, ever, and ever more out of control, and it’s really disturbing.”
